The City of Steamboat Springs will be soliciting proposals from qualified individuals and companies to develop and construct multiple hangars for aeronautical purposes only. The City is in the design stage of a Terminal Area Improvement project. Phase 1 improvements, which include relocating the airport perimeter fence to allow for expansion of the Airport Operations Area, relocation of the fuel truck canopy, additional airfield pavement, relocation of Gates 3 and 4, access road improvements, parking lot rehabilitation and reorientation, and an airside fuel truck access road are set to be begin in 2024 and will facilitate the development of new hangars in Area 1. The City will accept proposals for development in Area 1, Area 2, and/or both Areas 1 and 2.
