Whether on a mission, training or flying a ’Fini Flight’, the airport has hosted a wide variety of members of our Armed Forces, National Guard and Reserve.

Wildfire Services

Your home away from home where airport staffs treats you like family. On station for a short time or extended duration, the Steamboat Springs Airport can accommodate a variety of aircraft.

During the active wildfire season of 2018, the facility’s spacious tarmac was shared at the same time by five different fire fighting aircraft and support crew.

Wildlife

Government agencies, university researchers and local organizations often work out of the FBO facility when conducting research, wildlife counts and observation programs.

Whether interested in local management or part of a larger statewide or national research project, under the direction of Colorado Parks & Wildlife and/or the U.S. Forest Service, the facility stands at the ready to take care of your aircraft so you can focus on the task as hand.
