The Airport Fixed Base Operations (FBO), located on the airport which is 3 miles northwest of Steamboat Springs, is responsible for providing services to the transient customers and local aircraft owners of the Steamboat Springs Airport.

  • Pilot Supplies
  • Aircraft Preheating
  • Support Operations


Crew Help Helicopter Land at KSBSThe KSBS staff assists customers in aircraft parking and securing aircraft by anchoring at tie-down positions.

Weather Systems

weather graphicThe FBO facility has satellite weather systems for flight planning purposes and pilot briefings.  The AWOS weather system provides automated 24x7 local aviation weather via telephone at 970-879-7794 and via Aviation Radio on frequency 118.325.

There is a second AWOS located atop Mt. Werner (10,568') at the Steamboat Ski Resort. It is available via telephone at 970-871-5640 & 970-871-5641 and via Aviation Radio on frequency 127.125
