All parking areas are marked with time restrictions or parking regulations. There is no parking in any alley. Your vehicle may be ticketed if left on city streets within the restricted hours or towed during winter snowplow operations within the restricted hours.

Parking enforcement is a serious concern in a city with a high demand for parking availability and a tremendous number of visitors year-round.

No Parking

  • Within 5’ of a private or public driveway
  • Within 15’ of a fire hydrant
  • Within 20’ of crosswalk or intersection
  • Within 30’ of any traffic control device - including stop signs

Public Parking Lots

  • 9th & Yampa Lot-8 hour parking 8am - 6pm
  • 8th & Yampa Lot-8 hour parking 8am - 6pm
  • 7th & Yampa Lot-3 hour parking 8am - 10pm
  • 8th & Oak Lot-8 parking 8am - 6pm
  • Stockbridge Transit Center-6am-2:30am parking. One vehicle per space - No Overnight Parking

Parking - May 1 - October 31

  • Parking Sign StockbridgeLincoln Avenue (300-1300 blocks) - 2 hour parking 8am - 6pm
  • 4th - 12th Streets (00 - 100 blocks) up to the alley – 2 hour parking 8am - 6pm
  • 4th - 12th Streets (00 - 100 blocks) past the alley - 3 hour parking 8am - 6pm
  • Yampa Avenue (400 - 500 blocks) both sides of the street - 3 hour parking 8am - 6pm
  • Yampa Avenue (600 - 900 blocks) both sides of the street - 3 hour parking 8am - 10pm
  • Yampa Avenue (1000 - 1200 blocks) both side of the street - 3 hour parking 8am - 6pm
  • Oak Street (all blocks) – 8 hour parking 8am - 6pm
  • Ski Time Square – 2 hour parking from 9am - 8pm
  • Howelsen Hill and Rodeo Grounds - 8 hour parking 8am - 6pm; no overnight parking
  • Stockbridge Transit Center - 12 hour parking. NO Parking between 2:30am to 6am - One vehicle per space - no overnight parking

Parking - November 1 - April 30

Parking is compounded by winter snow, which accumulates fast in a mountain town like Steamboat Springs. In order to expedite snow removal efforts, winter parking is prohibited on city streets and shoulders during the following hours:

  • Lincoln Avenue - No parking 3am-6am                                      
  • Stockbridge Transit Center - No parking 2:30am-6am
  • Ski Time Square - No parking 3am-6am 
  • Anglers Drive area & south to city limits: No parking Midnight-8am
  • All other areas: No parking 2am-8am
