[ARCHIVED] New City Board and Commission Members Needed

The citizens of Steamboat Springs are invited to apply to serve on the following city committees:

Board of Adjustment: (One Regular 3 year position) (One Alternate 3 year position) Reviews zoning variance requests for residential and signage applications.
Members of this board receive a Howelsen Hill Ski pass. One meeting per month as required.

Planning Commission: (One Regular 3 year position) (One Alternate 3 year position) Reviews applications for new development throughout the City, as well as policy and code amendments for recommendation to City Council. Members of this commission receive a Howelsen Hill Ski pass and a Haymaker Golf Pass. Two evening public hearings and three noon work sessions per month.

Parks & Recreation Commission: (Four Regular 2 year positions) (One Alternate 3 year position)
Members of this commission will receive a Howelsen Hill Ski Pass.

Yampa Valley Housing Authority: (Two Regular 3 year positions)
The County and the City are seeking two representatives of Routt County (which will be appointed jointly by the Steamboat Springs City Council and the Routt County Board of Commissioners) to serve on this Board.

Urban Redevelopment Authority Advisory Committee: (Design Professional, Community Member at Large, Business Person-URA Base Area, and Starwood Steamboat Representative; four positions) The Design Professional should be a principal or key employee of a local architecture, civil engineering, or other design firm. The Business Person-URA Base Area must own or be agent of the owner of business or property in URA Base Area.

Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on
Thursday, February 25 2016.
