Applying for a Position

If you would like to join a board or commission please print out this application or pick an application up at City Hall, located at 137 10th Street. Applications should be returned to City Hall or emailed to Julie Franklin. 

The citizens of Steamboat Springs are invited to apply to serve on the following city boards, commissions and committees: 

Board of Adjustment
  • One alternate position (three-year term).  Members of this Board receive a Howelsen Hill ski pass.

Historic Preservation Committee
  • Two regular positions (three-year term).  

Parks and Recreation Committee
  • Four regular positions (two-year terms) and one alternate position (two-year term).
Members of this Commission receive a Howelsen Hill ski pass.

Planning Commission
  • Two regular positions (three-year terms).
Members of this Commission receive a Howelsen Hill ski pass and a Haymaker Golf pass.

Applications must be submitted by 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2018.



Urban Redevelopment Authority Advisory Committee
  • Five positions (three-year terms): 2 Base Area Business Person, 1 Development Community Representative, 1 Steamboat Ski and Resort Representative, and 1 Steamboat Ski and Resort Alternate.

Applications must be submitted by 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018.
