Bryan Swintek - District I

Bryan Swintek moves from Planning Commission to Council Council -District I after winning the seat during the November 2023 election. After moving to Steamboat Springs almost three years ago, he started vegan ice cream company Magic Chonk (made without the top 9 allegens) and currently serves as it Founder and CEO.

For the past few years, Swintek has served on the Planning Commission, which reviews and acts on issued and polices related to long-range planning and use regulation and community development. 

Prior to moving to the Yampa Valley, Swintek worked in the investment banking industry in New York, NY, for Credit Suisse and PwC for nearly a decade. In this Credit Suisse role, he shaped daily division management and strategies including researching and developing the bank's post-Brexit business model. While with PwC, he consulted with banks and insurance companies on execution of regulatory requirements. 

He has volunteered with after school programs for at-risk youth and assisting them with school studies as well as college application preparation.

His focus is on affordable housing, diversification of the community's economy, and sustainable growth that preserves the surrounding environment.
