The Urban Redevelopment Authority Advisory Committee (URAAC) and the City of Steamboat Springs will host a public open house to outline and discuss the upcoming Mt. Werner Circle & Ski Time Square Roundabout project on Monday, February 12, 2018.
“While we’re still working out details, the open house is intended to share information early in the process and touch upon a tentative schedule, potential impacts and overall benefits,” said Ralph Walton, project manager of URAAC. “This is a significant project and we want to keep information flowing and provide two-way communications for the community, especially those in the immediate vicinity.”
The open house will take place in the Creekside Meeting Room at the Torian Plum, 1855 Ski Time Square, from 4pm to 6pm. The project group will have three stations where interested parties can learn about the project, ask questions and discuss impacts. Additional information on the project can be found at steamboatsprings.net/STSRoundabout.
The project looks to enhance the intersection at Mt. Werner Circle and Ski Time Square Drive with a roundabout, improving multi-modal flow and connectivity in this vital and high-traffic area of the mountain village. The Roundabout would be similar to the ones constructed at Apres-Ski Way/Mt. Werner Circle and in Ski Time Square. The project could start as early as this construction season and once underway is expected to run approximately 90 days, depending upon weather conditions and construction schedules.
