[ARCHIVED] Lincoln Avenue Closed Saturday For Mustang Show N’ Shine

Lincoln Avenue and several side streets from 5th to 11th Streets will be closed starting at 6am on Saturday, June 17, for the Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup Show N’ Shine until 3:30PM. In addition, the east side of Mt. Werner will be closed from 6:00AM to 5:00PM for the Autocross on Friday, June 16.

While Lincoln Avenue is closed on Saturday, all vehicles as well as Steamboat Springs Transit (SST) buses will use the Oak Street detour. Temporary bus stops will be located at 5th and Oak, 7th and Oak and 9th and Oak.  Buses will also stop at the Yellow Line’s 10th and Oak stop, next to City Hall. Once Lincoln reopens, buses will return to their normal routes.

When the east side of Mt. Werner is closed on Friday, SST will not be able to access its regular stop during the autocross.  A temporary stop will be placed at the Meadows Lot on Mt. Werner that corresponds with the regular stop during this closure. Please use caution when crossing the street.

Spectators are welcome at the Meadows parking lot located at the corner of Mt. Werner Road and Pine Grove Road for Friday’s Autocross, running from 7:30AM to 4:30PM. Over 180 Ford Mustangs are expected to compete in this timed event.

Saturday’s Show n’ Shine is a car lover’s dream. Ford Mustangs from throughout the years are on display up and down Lincoln Avenue from 10AM to 3PM. Both the Autocross and Shine N’ Show are free and open to the public.

This is the 29th year more than 450 Mustang owners from Rocky Mountain Mustang clubs will convene in Steamboat Springs, Colorado over Father's Day Weekend, June 15-17. Additional details on the event can be found at
