As part of its 2017 senior programs, the City of Steamboat Springs Parks & Community Services department is sponsoring a trip for seniors 55 years of age and older to Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum on Wednesday, May 31st.
As part of the trip, a museum docent will welcome you to the museum. After an introduction and viewing of an 8-minute film highlighting Colorado’s Aviation Endeavors, the docent will lead the group on a walking tour of the museum.
After the tour, the group may stay at the museum and are free to explore the museum on their own with the aid of a museum map and suggested self-guided tour itineraries.
Tickets are $30.00 and include transportation, admission and guided tour. Space is limited and reservations must be made by May 26th to reserve your seat. Advance reservations can be made by calling 970-879-4300 and additional information can be found at www.steamboatsprings.net/seniors. Don’t let this trip depart without you.
Transferred from the United States Air Force to a group of volunteers in 1994, Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum is located in Hangar 1 of the former Lowry Air Force Base in eastern Denver, Colorado.
Today, the Museum includes more than 182,000 square feet of hangar space and 50 iconic aircraft dating from 1939 to 1990. Visitors can experience thrilling flight simulators, discover our learning center, Wings Aerospace Academy and participate in dozens of exciting museum sponsored events.
