[ARCHIVED] Citizens’ Police Academy Application Deadline Extended to March 31

The application deadline for the Citizens’ Police Academy has been extended to Friday, March 31, 2017.  The inaugural class will run 6-9pm every Wednesday evening from April 26 through June 28, 2017. 

The Steamboat Springs Police Department unveiled its new Citizens’ Police Academy as a way to enhance the community’s knowledge about local law enforcement, their duties and responsibilities as well as its public safety programs and services. All classes are instructed by police personnel and there is no cost to the student. 

Applications and personal history statement may be found on the city website at http://www.steamboatsprings.net/PoliceAcademy.  A background check is required for all participants.
