Work at the Après Ski Way and Village Drive intersection is nearing completion and will reopen to vehicular traffic in all directions beginning in the afternoon on Monday, November 07, 2016. There will be periodic shoulder closures throughout the rest of the week as crews finalize roadway striping and punchlist work.
Motorists are advised to be aware that the revamped intersection includes an all-way stop with stop signs posted on all four corners of the intersection requiring vehicles to come to a complete stop and yield to other motorists and pedestrians before crossing into the intersection. Added turn lanes, new sidewalks and a bus pull-out are also featured.
The City Public Works Department would like to thank Drexel, Barrel & Co., Native Excavating and the rest of the project team for a successful project. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on-site at the intersection on November 17, 2016 at noon. The public is invited to this event.
