[ARCHIVED] Steamboat Springs City Offices to Open Friday Mornings

Citizens will soon be able to take care of city business in Steamboat Springs on Friday mornings. The City of Steamboat Springs will begin opening Friday mornings starting Friday, August 5th. City Hall (137 10th Street) and Centennial Hall (124 10th Street) will be open 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and the Parks and Community Services building (245 Howelsen Parkway) will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Other departments that have already been open Friday mornings such as the Police Station, Fire Department and Planning Department will continue to be open during this time.

Gary Suiter, City Manager, said “The City recognizes and is prepared to meet the customer service needs of the community by extending our open hours to Fridays.” City offices have been closed on Fridays since 2009 when the economic downturn resulted in a downsizing of personnel and services and furloughing of employees. The public should be aware that the doors will be open, however some services may be limited on Friday mornings.
