Phase 1 is opening Monday, June 13th.
Construction will be complete on Phase I (between the intersection of Pine Grove Road to the south of the new roundabout) and open Monday, June 13th. A full closure on Phase 2 will start June 13th, 2016. There will be no access off of Mt Werner Road at the Central Park Drive intersection except for authorized deliveries to Walmart.
Planned work includes installing all underground storm sewer pipe and inlets, removing and replacing concrete, removing and replacing asphalt, landscaping & irrigation work in Phase 2.
During construction work will be near or around existing sidewalks & businesses but the sidewalks are still open and businesses are also open. Additionally, the Central Park Drive bus stops remain in the relocated areas to the south of the Pine Grove Road & Central Park intersection. The Wildhorse Marketplace and Resort Group bus stops will remain temporarily closed.
Below are the more specific work zones that can be expected in Phase 2:
• Full Closure from South side of new roundabout to Mt Werner Road.
• Sidewalks inside the construction zone are closed. Please follow alternate detour routes where in place.
During construction of Phase 2, motorists can expect closure of the south half of Central Park Drive with the north half open and accessed from Pine Grove Road. Snapdragon is also OPEN but access will be from Pine Grove Road to Taco Bell/KFC. Work hours will be Monday through Friday 7am to 7pm with the possibilities of weekend work. Motorists are encouraged to use Pine Grove Road for access to Central Park Plaza rather than using Mt Werner Road.
