On Tuesday, May 17th through the end of the week, Safe Site Utility Field Services will be conducting utility pot holing work at the intersection of US Highway 40 and Elk River Road. This work is associated with the Colorado Department of Transportation and City of Steamboat Springs’ collaboration to design intersection improvements at that location.
The pot holing will require the contractor to deploy traffic control, such as lane closures, at and near the intersection of US Highway 40 and Elk River Road. Delays should be expected, so the public is asked to plan accordingly. Access to all area businesses will be maintained throughout the duration of this job.
Motorists are reminded to obey the traffic control and associated signage, and to slow down through the work zone.
