[ARCHIVED] Bob Adams Airport runway closure

Runway 14/32 closed from 7:30am to 7:30pm on September 21 and 22, 2015 for marking and grass seeding

Bob Adams Airport Runway 14/32 is scheduled to be closed from 7:30am – 7:30pm on September 21 and 22, 2015. This will take the place of the previously scheduled closures in October.

Crews will be applying the last coat of paint for the markings and seeding the grass in the construction areas of Taxiway A. This schedule is subject to change due to weather or any other unforeseen circumstances.

Steamboat Springs Airport Manager Adam Kittinger explained: “The final coat of paint for the markings is being applied several weeks after the completion of the construction and seal coating due to the needed "curing" times. Originally, it was scheduled for early October, but we wanted to get it done as soon as possible due to concerns of surface temperatures being too cool in October. The new markings were well received for the airshow and will provide a safer service to our incoming flying community. They should last for the next couple of years.”
