Yampa St. closed between 6th and 7th Streets for pipe replacement & Workman Park improvements.
Steamboat Springs, Colorado —
The public is reminded of a road closure that is now in place on Yampa Street, between the blocks of 6th and 7th Streets. The businesses on this block remain open. The public parking lot and on-street spaces at 7th and Yampa St. are available for public use.
Please use alternate routes around this block of Yampa Street. Traffic signals are available at 5th and 7th Streets to facilitate left turns. A pedestrian detour route has been installed to the north of the project limits along Yampa St. Please follow the signage to utilize this route with alternative pedestrian and bicycle detours available through Eagle Scout Park and the alleyway between Yampa St. and Lincoln Ave.
The final Farmer’s Market, which is set to occur this upcoming weekend, will not be affected other than the alternate routes to reach the event.
“The road closure is necessary while crews work to replace deteriorating culverts under Yampa St. and to convert the Workman Property into a public park”, said the City’s Project Manager Danny Paul. The work is expected to last through the month of October.
