[ARCHIVED] Yampa River Clean-Up & Party

The City of Steamboat Springs, in partnership with the Colorado Water Trust, CAN’d Aid Foundation, Colorado Watershed Assembly, Friends of the Yampa and Backdoor Sports, is proud to host the upcoming Yampa River Clean-Up & Party to celebrate the heart and soul of Steamboat Springs.

The Yampa River Clean-Up & Party will take place on Friday, August 7th from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Volunteers are asked to meet at Little Toots Park (12th & Yampa) at 2:00 PM to receive clean-up materials and to be assigned to various sections of the Yampa River and tributaries. At 5:00 PM, volunteers will return to Little Toots Park to celebrate with beer (donated by the CAN’d Aid Foundation), pizza and live music!

Dress to get wet! Volunteers are asked to bring their own river shoes, waders and gloves (optional). Trash bags and pick-up sticks will be provided.
