[ARCHIVED] Highway 40 Project Updates for the Week of November 3, 2014

The project limits of this phase are between M.P. 130 and 135 or from Walton Creek Road to Elk River Road Intersection.

Current work for this week include installing brick pavers in the medians from Anglers intersection to JD Hayes way in the center median. Also drilling of traffic signal bases at the pine grove intersection will take place.

During construction work will be near or around existing sidewalks but the sidewalks are still OPEN. Also please continue to use both lanes to the merge point and then politely merge over.
Below are the more specific work zones that can be expected and side streets impacted at these intersections.

•Median Closures between Anglers and Walton Creek road for brick paver installation.
•SPECIAL NOTICE: ALL PAVING HAS BEEN COMPLETED
•There is a 14’ Wide Load Restriction during paving. Please call 970-629-9393 to coordinate.
•Most of the major roadway impacts and delays are over. Thanks for the patience and understanding.

During the project, motorists can expect various alternating single-lane, multiple lane shifts or closures, NO WORK will be performed from 13th to 3rd street. Monday through Friday, with some weekend work possible, from 7 A.M. to 5 P.M. Delays are expected to be about 15-25 minutes from one end to the other. And 7 PM to 7 AM during the night closures.
