The City of Steamboat Springs relies upon the dedicated volunteer efforts of our boards and commissions members to gather information and make recommendations regarding specific City activities. The citizens of Steamboat Springs are invited to apply to serve on the following city boards, committees and commissions:
Board of Adjustment (Regular 3 year positions)
Members of this committee will receive a Howelsen Hill Ski Pass
Urban Redevelopment Authority Advisory Committee (Five regular positions: A Base Area Property Owner (3 year term), Design Professional (2 year term), Base Area Business Person (3 year term) and two Community Members at-large (One 3 year term, one 2 year term))
Planning Commission (Regular 3 year positions)
Members of this commission will receive a Howelsen Hill Ski Pass and a Haymaker Golf Pass
Parks & Recreation Commission (Regular 2 year positions)
Members of this commission will receive a Howelsen Hill Ski Pass
Ice Rink Advisory Committee (Regular 2 year positions)
Members of this committee will receive a Howelsen Ice Arena Punch Card
Historic Preservation Commission (Regular 3 year positions and Alternate 1 year position)
Members of this committee will receive a Howelsen Hill Ski Pass
Also citizens of Routt County are invited to apply to serve on the Yampa Valley Housing Authority
The County and the City are seeking representatives of Routt County (which will be appointed jointly by the Steamboat Springs City Council and the Routt County Board of Commissioners) to serve on this Board. One of these positions will serve until December 31, 2015 the other two will serve until December 31, 2016.
Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014.
