[ARCHIVED] Short Term Rental Q&A Session Confirmed For Sept 7

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-August 31, 2022-This is your confirmation to attend a special live Question & Answer Session on Short-Term Rentals (STR) hosted by the City of Steamboat Springs’ Planning & Community Development Department at 1pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. 

“There seems to be some questions circulating around the community regarding Short-Term Rentals and especially legal nonconforming registrations,” said Planning & Community Development Director Rebecca Bessey. “This session is one step in sharing STR information and clarifying the process.”

The live Q&A session will focus on an overview of the STR overlay zone, licensing and a how to guide for submitting an STR Legal Nonconforming Registration application. Questions can be submitted in advance to

A short-term rental is defined as a dwelling unit offered, provided, used, or operated as a lodging accommodation to guests in exchange for remuneration for a period of less than 30 consecutive days while the owner or other permanent resident does not reside in the dwelling unit. The term short-term rental shall only apply to periods of time when the owner or other permanent resident is not residing in the dwelling unit. All short-term rentals and hosted short-term rentals are required to obtain a license.
