[ARCHIVED] Rapid Tests & N95 Masks Available at City Hall

Rapid Test NewsFlash

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-February 16, 2022-Free N95 masks from Honeywell and approximately 160 free iHealth COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test Kits are being distributed to the community through the City of Steamboat Springs City Hall as part of a public supply order. Items will be available starting at 8am on Thursday, February 17.

Both items are being provided for free and limited to three masks per person as well as one test kit (which contains two tests) per household to ensure the allotment is spread across the community to the greatest degree possible. Rapid test may not be picked up for other households or neighbors.

The higher grade N95 masks and rapid tests are available Monday through Thursday from 8am to 5pm and from 8am to 11:30am on Friday. These free items can be found at the reception area at City Hall (137 10th St) and will be provided while supplies last. Please understand masks/tests will not be available for pick up on Monday, February 21, as all city offices including City Hall are closed in observance of Presidents’ Day.

With the iHealth COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test, individuals can administer at home tests and see results in as little as 15 minutes. Early testing helps better care for yourself and protects your friends, family, and the community from potential exposure as well as provides peace of mind.

The Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) is providing masks to help curb the spread of the COVID-19, including the omicron variant. The distribution effort is part of a statewide push for people to upgrade their cloth mask to the more effective surgical ones. N95 and KN95 respirator masks are rated to capture 95% of tiny particles (0.3-micron particles).
