[ARCHIVED] Steamboat Springs Police & Fire Respond To Downtown Incidents

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-October 14, 2021-The Steamboat Springs Police Department (SSPD) responded to two incidents involving a multiple vehicle accident and an unattended death in the downtown area this evening.

At 5:01 pm on Thursday, October 14, 2021, SSPD and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue (SSFR) responded to Fish Creek Falls Road near 3rd Street (behind the Post Office), to a two-vehicle traffic accident. Three individuals were transported to UC Health Yampa Valley Medical Center with serious injuries. The SSPD with the assistance from the Colorado State Patrol are investigating the accident.

Shortly later that same evening at 5:13 pm, the SSPD was dispatched to the 400 block of 8th Street to investigate an unattended death. Few details are currently available.

Separate investigations are ongoing for both incidents and law enforcement remain on scene.
