[ARCHIVED] City Hall & Centennial Hall Reopen After Labor Day

City Hall Reopening

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-September 4, 2020-City offices within City Hall and across the street in Centennial Hall will reopen after the Labor Day holiday to the public on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

“I’m proud how the city was able to adapt and provide numerous avenues for citizens to conduct business while access to these facilities was restricted,” commented City Manager Gary Suiter. “Those avenues still remain open, but it’s time to move to the next level and offer in-person access.”

City services that span Planning, Finance, City Clerk, City Manager, Deputy City Manager, Public Works, Utilities – Water & Sewer, Engineering and Municipal Court will be open to the public Monday through Thursday from noon to 5:30pm. City offices are closed on Friday as a result of budget reductions due to COVID-19.

Masks will be required when entering either building and physical distancing measures will also be in place. In addition, touchless methods and protective protocols will further reduce contact between individuals while inside the buildings.  The box outside the main entrance to City Hall continues to provide a secure means to drop off payments and documents outside these hours. All online channels remain available to citizens.

In addition to City and Centennial Halls, the following city facilities are currently open in some form: Steamboat Springs Transit office, Steamboat Springs Airport FBO, Howelsen Ice Complex, Yampa River Botanic Park, Haymaker Golf Course, Mesa School and Parks programs, playgrounds, trails and open space.
