[ARCHIVED] Adventure Bound Summer Camp Still Has Room to Play

Summer Camp 2020 II NewsFlash

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-June 23, 2020-With the initial deadline for need-based registrations fully accommodated, the city’s summer camp program still has additional room for campers to play and is accepting registrations.

Due to changes in public health orders and assistance from facility partners, the program has been able to increase capacity and offer additional summer camp slots for locals.

As stated earlier and to maintain consistent groups, camps will be offered on a weekly basis only, Monday through Thursday. Space is limited and reservations will be on a first come, first served basis. No application is required, and families can sign up online as has been the practice in past years.

Camps will be grouped as follows (this has changed based on enrollment numbers to date):

  • Kids entering Kindergarten through 1st Grades – Howelsen Hill Lodge
  • Kids entering 2nd Grade – Soda Creek Elementary
  • Kids entering 3rd through 5th Grades – Soda Creek Elementary

The weekly cost is $175 per child and scholarships and T-Rec opportunities are still available. There will be no daily registrations or prorated camps for partial attendance this summer. Children must have current immunizations or provide documentation for any medical exemptions.

Summer Camp Information, as well as additional camp materials, is available online at steamboatsprings.net/summer. Additional questions can be answered by contacting Parks & Recreation at 970.879.4300.
