STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-May 8, 2020-Haymaker Golf Course swings into its 23rd season of play on Thursday, May 14, just four days later than last year. However, when play begins next week, it will be under enhanced public safety protocols designed to protect our staff, guests and community.
“We’re excited to get going,” said head pro Cody Hasten. “During this uncertain time, one thing remains certain, our priority is always for the well-being of our guests and staff.”
The 18-hole championship course will be open for walking (no carts at this time) from 7am to 6pm daily with tee times available to Routt and Moffat County residents. The practice facility including the driving range and putting greens will remain closed until May 21 and club rentals will not be available.
Tee times must be booked in advance online (new and improved process) or over the phone. Fees must also be paid in advance by phone. The golf shop can be reached at 970.870.1846 from 7am to 6pm daily. Walk-up reservations are prohibited. Do not arrive more than 10 minutes before scheduled tee time. Daily rates, season passes and punch card pricing along with ongoing updates are available at haymakergolf.com.
“The outdoors, and especially Haymaker, allows us to get away from our daily concerns so that we can reconnect and rejuvenate in the sights, sounds and smells of this natural oasis within our community,” continued Hasten. “Our team has worked hard to provide the best experience possible under these unusual conditions and I want to personally thank everyone in advance for your support and commitment to a healthy facility.”
Haymaker Patio Grill will be serving beverages and grab & go food options available for pick up prior to teeing off or through the turn window. In addition, golfers should bring their own water as on-course water stations will not be available.
Clubhouse and on-course restrooms will be available. These locations will be cleaned or sanitized throughout the day. Additional public health guidelines are in effect for the clubhouse and while on the course and can be found at haymakergolf.com
The 233-acre Haymaker Golf Course, designed by nationally acclaimed architect Keith Foster, features at least four sets of tees per hole, playing from 5,059 to 7,308 yards. It has been heralded as a ‘core layout’ using large greens and gentle undulations, which blend seamlessly with the topography of the region. Players are rewarded by uninterrupted vistas of the Yampa Valley and Mount Werner on every hole.
