[ARCHIVED] Council Lunch & Listen Dishes Out Conversation

Monthly NewsFlash

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-February 19, 2020-The new winter monthly series, Lunch & Listen, brings the community together for the second installment of the brown bag lunch with City Councilors at noon this Friday, February 21.

Councilors Lacy and Crossan are scheduled to host the February edition and guide discussion on any of the topics coming up at the March 10 work session. These include Community Housing Fund, Long Term Water Planning: Water Conservation Plan and the Howelsen Hill Operating Season Review and Future Planning.

City Councilors host this monthly opportunity to gather over lunch and listen to the community. During this brown bag series, bite into fun discussion about topics coming before council in the work session for the following month.

Trade points of perspective and maybe even that coveted lunch item with others around the table. The goal is to provide a chance for community members to meet with council members in a relaxed atmosphere and digest various topics of interest across the valley.

Lunch & Listen is held from noon to 1pm on the third Friday of the month during winter from October to May in the Crawford Room of Centennial Hall (124 10th Street). Lunch & Listen goes on hiatus during summer (June – September) when councilors are available every Saturday at the City Council Booth during the Farmer’s Market. No RSVP is necessary, just bring your lunch and get ready to chew on some community conversation.
