STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-December 30, 2019-The 14th Judicial District Court issued a decision on Friday, December 27, 2019, in the case concerning the approval of City Council Resolution No. 2019-08 for a hotel at 1480 Pine Grove Road.
During the February 5, 2019 meeting, Steamboat Springs City Council voted to approve a conditional use, development plan and variance for a project for a Residence Inn by Marriott on Pine Grove Road. The decision was challenged by Steamboat Citizens for Responsible Growth, Inc., and went before Judge O’Hara in the District Court, who ruled in favor of the City of Steamboat Springs.
The court’s decision allows the project to proceed. The petitioners have the right to appeal to the Court of Appeals. The court decision is attached.
