[ARCHIVED] West Lincoln Park Readies For New Playground

West Lincoln Park

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-September 7, 2019-In preparation for a new playground in West Lincoln Park, a large crane will be on site in the park on Monday, September 9, 2019, removing the remaining two sections of the old River Queen.

The public should anticipate a portion of the park to be closed starting that morning during this process. The majority of the structure was removed last year; however, the two large metal stacks, concrete footers and the paddlewheel stayed in place. These piece will be taken out with the crane.

A to Z Recreation will begin site preparation and installation of the new playground the week of September 30. The project is estimated to take approximately two weeks and may require additional closures.
