Staying hydrated is an important element when you are active in the outdoor mountain environment and that’s just as vital for our four-legged friends.
Thanks to Alpine Bank, visitors to Rita Valentine Park will now be able to quench their thirst with a new tri-level water fountain, which features a drinking fountain, ground-level pet fountain and refillable bottle fountain.
With push button values for all three sources, this sturdy dispenser is constructed of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, perfect for Steamboat Springs’ changing mountain weather, and blends into the landscape with an evergreen powder-coated finish.
The specifically designed pet bowl is low to the ground to accommodate dogs of all sizes. Fresh water that doesn’t sit around is important for animals, and with minimal splash while dispensing water and slow drainage, this fountain provides easy drinking for pets.
The City of Steamboat Springs Parks & Recreation and Water departments, along with Native Excavating and Steamboat Digs Dogs worked together to get the water flowing for the new H2O station.
Rita Valentine is one of two dog parks within the City of Steamboat Springs. This grassy open field offers trails & an off-leash area for dogs amid scenic mountain surroundings.
Rita Valentine Park is accessible from Highway 40 (Lincoln Avenue) and Anglers Drive intersection. Proceed up Anglers Drive (north) approximately 2 miles and park in the lot located on the left side of Anglers Drive. (1010 Anglers Drive).
