[ARCHIVED] Mt. Werner On/Off Ramps to Close Starting Wednesday

The on and off ramps of Mount Werner Road will be closed starting Wednesday morning as the City of Steamboat Springs Paving Program begins tackling milling and paving this portion of Mount Werner Road.  Motorists should use Pine Grove as an alternative while work is completed in this area on Wednesday, June 5.

As paving moves up Mount Werner Road, delays should be anticipated throughout the rest of the week, Thursday and Friday. The city asked residents to please be patient as delays and/or detours could be encountered during the project. For the safety of work crews, slow down in work zones and follow directional signage and work crew instructions.

Mount Werner Road is one of 19 streets and three parking lots being paved during the 2019 paving and striping program.  The multi-week project was awarded to United Companies with the paving portion expected to be completed around mid-June, followed by striping efforts beginning June 17 and completed around June 19.
