Haymaker Golf Course swings into its 22nd season of play on Friday, May 10 when the practice facility opens; followed less than a week later with the full championship course readied for play. The golf shop is currently open from 8am-7pm daily.
“The start of each season is always exciting and this one is no exception, the course is looking great and we have many exciting new offerings this year” said head pro Cody Hasten. “The entire team has been working hard to have the facility in top shape and there’s plenty in store for the season at Haymaker this summer.”
Players will have an opportunity to dust off the cobwebs at the practice facility beginning at 9am on Friday, May 10. Enjoy a few hours hitting balls at the driving range or practicing your putts to be in prime shape for tackling the greens on Wednesday, May 15.
Haymaker unveiled a new website this spring, which provides the ability to easily book your tee times online, and offers discounted last-minute tee times! In addition, the site covers all the essentials for the game from course layout and policies, to events and tournaments to the full line-up of clinics and instruction through the Golf Academy.

The new season also brings new rule changes from the USGA. Join us on Saturday, May 18 for the USGA Rules Seminar from 9am to 1pm. This session will exclusively cover the 2019 Modernization of the Rules of Golf and will prepare you for the changes that went into effect on January 1, 2019. Season passes and punch cards are currently on sale and can be purchased in person, by calling the shop at 870-1846 or online. Haymaker is one of the few mountain town courses that offers a season pass with unlimited play and unrestricted tee times. The 233-acre Haymaker Golf Course, designed by nationally acclaimed architect Keith Foster, features at least four sets of tees per hole, playing from 5,059 to 7,308 yards. It has been heralded as a ‘core layout’ using large greens and gentle undulations, which blend seamlessly with the topography of the region. Players are rewarded by uninterrupted vistas of the Yampa Valley and Mount Werner on every hole.
Haymaker boasts a large, family friendly practice facility with driving range, sand trap, chipping and putting green as well as a retail pro shop, Patio Grill restaurant and clubhouse. The course lends itself to golfers of all abilities from the novice to the professional.
