[ARCHIVED] Free Christmas Tree Recycling

Mulch News Flash Image

The gift of giving continues this holiday season when you recycle your Christmas Tree with the City of Steamboat Springs, letting it live on as mulch for city parks and residents.

Safely dispose of your natural Christmas tree for free starting Wednesday, December 26 through January 31 by dropping it off in the northwest corner of the Howelsen Ice Complex parking lot.

Drop off is available seven days a week from sunrise to sunset. We’ll take it just like you found it with all tinsel, ornaments, lights, nails, etc., removed before drop off.  NO WREATHS accepted.

The mulch will be provided to residents on a first-come, first-serve basis in the spring as well as used in city parks during the coming year.
