Howelsen Hill will welcome the best collegiate skiers in the country when it hosts the 2018 NCAA Ski Championships from March 7-10, 2018. During the week, training and competitions will take place daily resulting in public closures for several Nordic and alpine trails.
Today through Saturday, the Rodeo Grounds and Bluff Loop Nordic trails, as well as The Face on the ski area will experience closures. Nordic training occurs on Wednesday and Friday, followed by races on Thursday and Saturday. Alpine skiers will train on Thursday and Friday, with a race Friday evening on The Face. The following outlines expected trail closures and anticipated times.
Nordic - Closures
Wed, March 7 - Official Training - 9am-1pm
Thur, March 8 - Race - 9am-1pm
Fri, March 9 - Official Training - 9am-1pm
Sat, March 10 - Race - 9am-1pm
Alpine - Closures
Thur, March 8 - Official Training - 6pm-8pm
Fri, March 9 - Official Training - 11am-1pm
Fri, March 9 - Race - 6pm-10:30pm
Please respect closures and remain off closed trails so athletes can experience the best trail conditions for the competition.
