Refuse Screening

Refuse Screening (Enclosure) Model Plans

Refuse screening is required for all recycling (waste) containers with these specifics:

  • Screening must cover at least three sides of the waste container(s).
  • Screening must be at least 6-feet tall.

If you need to add screening around your waste containers, the city has some model plans at no cost. Approval for the addition of screening can be accomplished through submission of a Recycling Modification Plan at reduced fees until June 2026.
