Look to the sky as 20+ balloons dot the horizon with color Saturday and Sunday morning. There will be no spectators allowed at the launch site this year. Instead, head over to the Ski Town Ballfields for the public viewing area with tethered balloons, food and merchant vendors, and family fun.

Under the lights at the Brent Romick Arena, clouds of dirt and cries of victory tell the gripping story of the West with a time-honored and award-winning Steamboat tradition.
The Steamboat Pro Rodeo Series takes place every Friday and Saturday night with special performances July 1-4 in Downtown Steamboat Springs. Shows begin at 7:30 p.m except for the July 4 show which starts at 6:30 p.m. Pre-Rodeo entertainment appears on the entertainment stage from 6:00 p.m. until 7:15 p.m.

The Routt County Humane Society (RCHS) Wellness Clinic will host its monthly $15 vaccination clinic Saturday, July 10, from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM at the Mainstreet Steamboat Farmers Market (directly in front of Taco Cabo). No appointment needed. All pets should be on a leash and/or in carriers. If your pet does not do well in public places or around other animals, call the wellness clinic to schedule a FREE office visit to have your pet vaccinated, 970-457-8002. If you are sick, please stay home and either come to the next vaccination clinic or call the Wellness Clinic for an appointment when you are well.

Just minutes away, another colorful scene awaits at Art in the Park, where arts and crafts, performances, and an interactive children’s area will fill your day. Art in the Park is free to the public and features nearly 150 artist vendors, live entertainment, food vendors, and an interactive children’s art area. Capacity will be limited to 500 attendees at a time this year.

The Main Street Steamboat Farmers Market is located along the scenic Yampa River Yampa Street between 6th and 8th Streets. Held on Saturdays from June 5 to September 18, the official hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. but if you are out riding your bike or getting in a quick run before the day’s events, you can usually pick up a cup of coffee, pastry or even a breakfast burrito before the crowds arrive.
The Farmers Market features fresh fruit and vegetables each week, as well as local meat, cheese, and baked goods. The market focuses on food and offers a wide variety of local and cottage industry products. You can pick up fresh bread and pies, local beef, bison, pork, and lamb as well as jams, syrups, and honey. It’s a great place to stop for lunch as well.
