The City of Steamboat Springs is currently offering open registration for its fall/winter pre-school program through the Parks and Community Services department.
As we know, children love to learn; and in their early years, use their senses-touch, smell, sight, hearing and taste-to understand the world around them. Through the Pee Wee program, children learn vital life skills including how to behave in group setting, take turns, play well with others, listen to directions, use manners and control our bodies through cooking class, science day, crafts, stories and yoga.
The Pee Wee Adventure program runs from September 12 through December 21 for 2-½ to 5 year olds, who are potty-trained. Children can register for the entire multi-week session at a discount rate or for individual sessions if that option is more convenient for families.
The program runs features a variety of session options such as 27 sessions (Tuesday and Thursday) for $550; 14 sessions on Tuesday for $300; and, 13 sessions on Thursday for $280. A daily charge of $25 is also available; but same-day registration runs $30.
All sessions are hosted at The Igloo, 245 Howelsen Parkway, from 8:30am to 11:30am. Please call 970-879-4300 to speak with a staff member or register online at
