[ARCHIVED] City Looking for Letters of Interest for House at 603 Yampa Street

The City of Steamboat Springs is soliciting Letters of Interest (LOI) from qualified parties for the removal and relocation of the 1,512 square foot house located at 603 Yampa Street in Steamboat Springs. The deadline for submitting LOI’s is 5:00PM on March 16th, 2015.

The City of Steamboat Springs purchased the property located 603 Yampa Street in January, 2015 with the intent of developing the property into a small park. The City desires for the house to be removed and relocated rather than be demolished. The property will be given at no cost to a party who can take ownership of the structure and has the capacity to remove and relocate the house no later than June 30, 2015.

The two story property was built in 1914, consists of a wood frame structure with metal siding and a sheet metal roof and includes four bedrooms and 1 ½ baths. The house is considered historically and architecturally significant and is eligible to the local historic register.
