[ARCHIVED] New Pages on City Website Provide Information on Development Projects

The City Planning and Geographic Information System (GIS) Departments have partnered to create three new resources about development in our community. Two new web pages “Development Review” and “What’s New Near You?” and a new interactive Current Projects Map will provide up-to-date information about development projects around town. The new web pages and map are part of an update to the Community Development Code that expanded options for property owner notice discussed at City Council meetings earlier this year.

The Development Review Page provides an overview of Planning staff responsibilities and links to other resources including the Current Projects Map. To view the page, go to the Planning & Community Development page and look for the link to “Development Review.”

The “What's New Near You?” page is designed to inform the Steamboat Springs community about proposed and recently approved development activity and also serve as a starting point to get to the Current Projects Map.

The Current Projects Map shows locations of development projects that are under review, scheduled for public hearing, or recently approved. Each project lists dates of scheduled hearings or administrative final decision and links to project documents. To use the tool, go to the “What’s New Near You?” page and click on the link to the Current Projects Map. From there, explore the map by using the search tools, clicking on links to projects in the project table, or by clicking on the stars on the map.

For more information please contact the GIS Department at (970) 871-8261 or the Planning and Community Development Department at (970) 871-8258.
