[ARCHIVED] Lobster Fest Clamps Down on Yampa Street

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-September 9, 2021-Shells will be cracking and Yampa Street between 8th and 9th Streets will be closed when the Rotary Club of Steamboat Springs hosts its annual Lobster Fest on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at the Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue downtown station (840 Yampa Street). 

The Steamboat Springs Rotary Lobster Fest benefits Routt County Crisis Support and runs from 6pm to 10pm. The event will take place in and around the downtown fire station on Yampa Street and includes a lobster dinner, open bar, live music & dancing, and a silent auction 

The block in front of the fire station on Yampa Street will close starting at 8am on Saturday for event set up and staging. The street will remain closed through 10am the following day, Sunday, September 12. 

The sidewalk on the river side of the Yampa Street will remain open for pedestrians and cyclists to travel along the street outside of the venue. 

With the downtown station hosting the event, fire staff and responding equipment will be temporarily staged at the Ambulance Barn down the street and/or at the Mountain Station, so crews can respond as required.
