STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-June 5, 2020-With new guidance from the state regarding outdoor and personal recreation, the City of Steamboat Springs will reopen public playgrounds in city parks beginning tomorrow, Saturday, June 6.
Playground users can now climb, jump, run and swing away but are also asked to use good judgment when recreating in these locations and adhere to local and state public health guidelines including:
Maintain 6-foot social distancing
- No more than 10 people on the playground at a time
- Be courteous and share playground with other users
- Keep others safe by wearing a face covering in public
- Wash your hands often and/or use hand sanitizer
- Stay home if sick
Failure to follow posted rules and guidelines may result in playground closures. Signage outlining use requirements are posted at each location. Before visiting these facilities, understand that several bathrooms and all water fountains remain closed.
