[ARCHIVED] Transportation Master Plan Q&A Sessions Seek Community Input

TMP QA NewsFlash

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-May 8, 2020-While the Transportation Master Plan project hit the digital highways last week, the projects first community question and answer sessions are scheduled to take place virtually starting Tuesday, May 12.

“During these Q&A sessions you’ll be able to interact directly with the project team and ask questions about the Transportation Master Plan, next steps, and transportation in general,” said City Engineer Ben Beall. “The community’s expectations and desires related to transportation are imperative to the plan and how we plan to move forward in the future.”

The city is developing a plan to guide investments in transportation infrastructure and services for the next 10 to 20 years. In addition to conducting technical analyses and coordinating with a group of stakeholders on an ongoing basis, your feedback is critical to the success of the plan. For the entire month of May, city staff is asking the community to provide feedback via the Online Open House.

Next week, the public can share their insights during three upcoming virtual Q&A sessions, which provide the first steps in gathering input on the community’s needs, expectations and desires for transportation.

During these sessions, City Engineer, Ben Beall, and Project Consultant, Trung Vo, will be available for public to ask questions about the plan. Participants may access the sessions either via a zoom meeting link on a computer, tablet or mobile phone; or by dialing into the call on their mobile or home phone.

While the Q&A Sessions run through May 17, the virtual open house will be available from April 30 through May 29 at engagesteamboat.net/transportation-master-plan.
