Learn-to-Skate Program

The City of Steamboat Springs, along with Courtney Q. Gill, present Learn To Skate for Summer 2022. This program provides a fun, safe, and interactive steps into the world of skating. It is a great beginning step for anyone interested in starting figure skating, hockey or recreational skating. 

The program is open to Kindergarten - 5th graders and takes place on Mondays 4:00-5:00pm.

Edge & Synchro Skate

New for the summer, Edge & Synchro Skate. This fun and upbeat class will include 30 minutes of edges with new and fun drills, patterns, turns and continuous flow, followed by 30 minutes of Synchronized Skating. You will work together on circles, wheels, intersections, and blocks in unison with grace and speed.

This 60-minute class is for anyone in figure skating working on their Pre-Free Skate level or higher (Orange group or higher in the Steamboat Skating Club). It is coached by Courtney Gill, 4x US National Synchronized Skating Champion with the Haydenettes of Lexington, MA and 20+ years coaching experience. 

This program is open to all ages and takes place on Wednesdays 4:00pm-5:00pm.
