Economic Development

One of Steamboat Springs City Council's top priorities is Economic Development.

The Steamboat Springs Economic Development Council was established in 2007 as a committee of the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association. The EDC includes representatives from all walks of business life, such as finance, technology, outdoor recreation, marketing, government, health care, nonprofit organizations, agriculture, education, construction, tourism and small business.

Through the Yampa Valley Economic Development Council, the City of Steamboat Springs meets with representatives from Moffat, Routt and Rio Blanco Counties, the City of Craig, and the Town of Hayden to discuss regional issues and projects surrounding Economic Development.
