The project consists of construction of approximately 1,100 lineal feet of sidewalk, 1,100 lineal feet of storm sewer pipe, roadway widening, intersection improvements, asphalt paving and patching and signing and striping along 13th Street, a collector roadway, which crosses the Union Pacific Railroad right of way. The improvements include from Lithia Springs Road to Evans Street and Gilpin Street to the Yampa River Bridge near the Bud Werner Memorial Library.
About 90% of the project was completed in 2019. The remaining work includes drainage and sidewalk improvements in Union Pacific Railroad Right of Way to the Yampa River bridge on 13th Street near the library. City is currently working with the Union Pacific Railroad Company for a permit for work within the railroad right-of-way. We anticipate completion of this project the summer of 2020.
