construction zone to ski area, (3) through Sheraton breezeway (once their construction is
complete on June 4), (4) through Gondola Square and One Steamboat Place plaza.
o We are in communication with the Fire Department for emergency access.
Question and Answer Segment - Discussions:
Q/A. The snowmaking pipe re-location was discussed. This work and the section of the gravel trail/road
under the gondola is scheduled to begin after the gondola closes on Aug.23rd (during the week) to avoid
conflict with the gondola.
Q/A. The wire mesh construction fence will move to the west side of the new gravel trail/road on the
upper (northern) portion once that section is complete. The east slope of the road will be seeded and
erosion mats will be installed.
Q/A. The carpet lift relocation will take place in September.
Q/A. There will need to be a sewer pump-around near the climbing wall and a sewer line wye installed
just east of gondola square which can wait until the Adventure Zone closes during the week.
Q/A. Signage above the Sheraton breezeway doors has been requested by Torian and was discussed. A
temporary banner has been priced and the Torian will pay for the south side “To Torian Plaza” one. A
request to the Ski Area or MVP has been made to fund the north side one saying “To Gondola Square”.
The ski area sign shop may be able to produce for less money, and will get back to us.
These meetings will take place every Thursday at 8:30am at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort Daybreak
Room. Everyone is welcome.
