Yampa River Monitoring, Education and Enforcement mtg.

The City of Steamboat Springs Parks and Recreation Commission has scheduled a
meeting to discuss the 2009 monitoring, education and enforcement efforts on the Yampa
River on February 10, 2010. The meeting will be held at the Community Center at 1605
Lincoln Avenue at 5:30 pm.

In 2009, the Parks and Recreation Commission directed staff to work with volunteers to
address concerns identified during public meetings. Trash in the river, illegal parking,
alcohol consumption and user conflicts were all areas targeted for monitoring, education
and enforcement. Updates will be provided by volunteers and City staff on efforts that
occurred in 2009 with discussion to follow.
