Temporary Partial Trail Closure and New Trail Head Parking Lot Construction

On July 21, 2008 the City of Steamboat Springs will be closing all access to the Skyline Trail from the Mount Werner Water facility on Clearwater Trail while a new parking lot and facility fencing are constructed. The new parking lot will serve as the new trailhead for access to the Skyline Trail with overflow parking available at the existing Riverside Picnic Park off of Steamboat Boulevard.

During construction, the remaining section of the Skyline Trail is open and can be accessed from the Heavenly View cul de sac. There will be no access from the facility parking area to the Skyline Trail during or after this trail closure. Please respect the closure while these improvements are being made. Thank you.
