Schedule of Service Interruptions - Whistler Water Main Replacement

The Whistler Water Main Replacement Project is on schedule and nearing the end of the first of two phases.

Mt. Werner Water's plan is to complete Phase I – Walton Creek Road to Athens Plaza - before beginning Phase II which will extend the new main from Athens Plaza to Stone Lane.

On Tuesday May 20th, our contractor, Native Excavating, will begin preparations for connecting the new water main to the existing distribution system. Native will be installing three new in-line water valves to limit the extent of water service interruptions.

While these in-line valves are being installed, water service to residents will be interrupted for 4-5 hours in each instance. Our contractor will be distributing flyers door-to-door to residents of the affected properties at least 24 hours before each service interruption. We will also be notifying the property managers of the affected properties and the Visiting Nurses Association. Please read on for a detailed schedule.
