Afterschool, School Days Off & ASSET Clubs
About the Programs 
School Age Programs.pngAfterschool care and the School Days Off program are for grades kindergarten to 5th grade. We provide transportation from Strawberry Park Elementary to the program at Soda Creek Elementary after school, Monday through Friday. 
Our program offers a variety of activities directly suited to your child's needs. We have access to the gym, commons, outdoor playground and our own arts and crafts space, daily. In addition, all Afterschool Action children will be participating in “Homework Half Hour” from 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Kids will have the option to do homework, read, or for our youngest kids, being read to, all under the direct supervision of our staff.

What you need for Afterschool Programing:
All Families need the following current information on file with the Parks & Community Services Office for children to participate in our programing.   
  • Current year (June-May) Family Record: 2014-2015 Recreational Family Record
  • Children's Immunization Records: ONLY needed if not currently on file with Parks & Rec.  (can be faxed to our office: 970.870.0173)

Spring Swim Lesson registration is open!
Spring swim lessons are offered as a 2 week session running Mon-Thurs, May 11 - 21.  Lessons are from 4:15 - 5:00 each day.  The swim lesson cost DOES NOT include Afterschool Action.  If you want your child transported by City staff, you must register for Afterschool Action in addition to the lessons, otherwise it is your responsibility to get your child to and from lessons.

Registering online is NOT the same as completing the REQUIRED Recreation Family Record!
  • Afterschool Parent Handbook - Information regarding late pick up policies, *cancellation policies, registration deadlines, operating hours, schedules and much more!  (*updated cancellation information)
  • 2014-2015 Recreational Family Record: Your family must have a CURRENT    2014-2015 Recreational Family Record on file with the Parks & Community Services Office.
  • Register ONLINE:  Registering online is not the same as completing the required Recreational Family Record! Side Note: If you are unable to find the program/date you are looking for while trying to register online, the class is most likely full. However, for School Day Off programing contact Holly; there may be a few last minute spaces available.

ASSET Clubs:  Art-Socialization-Sports-Education-Teamwork 
ASSET Logo- floater.pngASSET Clubs are available at an additional cost to registered participants.
Clubs have included karate, tennis, excel gymnastics, jewelry making and leather tooling, sewing, cheer leading, potter's wheel, drama and more! Different clubs are offered on a specific day, each week, during each of the four separate sessions every school year. Every club includes Afterschool Action pricing, since kiddos will be gathering at Afterschool Action for roll-call and snack before heading to their designated Clubs. 
Session IV CLubs Begin week of March 9th. Session III Clubs conclude the week of 3/2/15.

Kid's Night Out 
popcorn.pngOur “Kids Night Out” program is a fun, supervised, healthy & safe way for your kids to spend
some time with their friends while giving parents an affordable option for a night out. The goal is to show a new release each session. All movies are G or PG rated.
